The Velvet Playboys return to Upper Reach for another feel-good twilight concert in the heart of the Swan Valley, and if last time is anything to go by, you won’t want to miss this one.
As the sun slips behind the vineyard and the sky turns golden, the suits get sharp, the rhythm kicks in, and suddenly you’re dancing with a glass of Swan Valley wine in hand. Expect slick jazz, jumpin’ rhythm & blues, and hit after hit from legends like Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Sammy Davis Jr., Harry Connick Jr., Jackie Wilson, Chuck Berry and The Blues Brothers.
It’s live music under the open sky. It’s toe-tapping, hip-shaking, grin-inducing fun. And yes, you’ll know the words.
Bring your friends, pack a picnic rug or low chair, and prepare for a twilight session among the vines that’s equal parts classy and a little bit cheeky.

Good to know
- The bands play three sets with two intervals; music finishes at 9.30pm.
- General Admission guests are welcome to bring picnic rugs and low, concert-style chairs. High-backed chairs are seated to the rear.
- Strictly no BYO alcohol. Wine, draught beer, non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks are available for purchase.
- General Admission ticket holders may bring their own picnic. No BYO food in the Restaurant.
